Today’s rapidly changing space environment requires new and innovative ways to test, demonstrate, and mature technologies and capabilities. Axiom Space and some of its commercial and research partners are collaborating on the development of a variety of national security-relevant capabilities, leveraging the International Space Station (ISS) today for TRL-raising and demonstrations, and rapidly operationalizing capabilities in LEO once Axiom Station comes online by the middle of this decade. This virtual panel will dive into how existing space station infrastructure can be used today to mature and demonstrate capabilities, and also how space station infrastructure in the near future will augment ongoing commercial and government infrastructure on-orbit to support national security objectives. The panel will include speakers from Axiom Space, Atomos Space, Orbital Composites, Southwest Research Institute, and SpiderOak.
Attendees will learn:
- Latest updates on the construction of Axiom Station
- How space station infrastructure can be used to mature and operationalize national security pertinent capabilities
- Space station use cases in orbital transfer vehicles, in-space assembly and manufacturing (ISAM), and in-space cybersecurity
