Lesson 1: Three Phase Program

*Please be aware that these instructional videos were recorded before the Air Force made a few substantial last-minute changes to the proposal requirements. While the original instructions were for a $150,000 award with a 6 month Period of Performance, the updated Phase I award amount is $50,000 with a 3 month Period of Performance! The STTR program is broken into three phases. Phase I establishes technical merit, Phase II continues research and development initiated in Phase I, and Phase III allows the small business to pursue commercialization within the Government. Any company who has completed a Phase I, Phase II, or Direct to Phase II has sole source rights for Phase III contracts. See the attached video for more details.
